Job Details

Do you have a passion for great-looking, sensibly designed software that delivers a satisfying user experience? Do you have a track record of success in designing user interfaces and interactions for web apps or websites? Are you interested in helping entrepreneurs to start and grow new businesses, change their lives, and create jobs and opportunities for others?

Come join our team at Eugene's own Palo Alto Software, where we specialize in creating sensibly designed software to help people succeed in business.

Work for one of Eugene's best companies

Despite the name, we have been headquartered in Eugene, Oregon, since our founder -- the business planning expert Tim Berry -- packed up his small business and moved it north from the Valley in 1992. Last year we won the Eugene Chamber of Commerce's Business of the Year Award, and Oregon Business magazine consistently names us one of the 100 best companies to work for in Oregon.

After a decade-plus of market leadership in business planning software for Windows, we are now building new web apps with a tight focus on usability and elegant design. You can read about our new LivePlan product and its "easy business planning for everyone" mission at

  • Proven talent in visual design with a great-looking portfolio of past successes

  • Expertise in cheap, fast prototyping and wireframing
  • Strong understanding of best practices and emerging trends in interface and interaction design
  • Passion for web apps and cloud computing

  • Working knowledge of common design patterns and interaction techniques
